From the private lodges at Moonlight Head Hotel be ready to spend a full day riding through the Great Otway National Park. This is all about, excellent horses, great local guides who grew up in the district and will escort you through Otway National Park that is located adjacent to the rugged south-west Victorian coastline.

Moonlight will tailor with Neil & Jenny Henry day treks that can start with the sunrise and end with sunset. From treks that follow the coast or take you high up into the hills to let you traverse this remote Australian bush setting, that is the Otway Ranges, by horse.

You will have the opportunity to relax, enjoy the rhythmic gait, canter or gallop of your horse with that gentle squeak of a leather saddle beneath you. Often you will want to pause, to just be still, listen to your heart beat, breathe out, what do your hear? Nothing but the sound of the wilderness with the rhythmic pulse of the surf as a backdrop. What do you see? The Southern Ocean, or the never ending palette of greens of the Australian bush, Kangaroos, Kookaburras and Parakeets sweeping past resplendent in their jewel colours. Then at the end of the day there is a night a night sky you may never knew existed.
